Switching resale platforms
Decided to move your listings somewhere new? Each guide shows the exact fee difference on every sale, what changes for your audience and listings, and how to actually make the move — no fluff.
Fashion & clothing
Mercari → Vinted
Trade Mercari's 10% selling fee for Vinted's zero seller fees — the most-searched switch in US resale right now.
Mercari → Depop
Move from Mercari to Depop for Y2K, streetwear, and vintage fashion — near-zero fees and a buyer pool that wants exactly that.
Poshmark → Vinted
Trade Poshmark's flat 20% commission for Vinted's zero seller fees — keep the full price on every closet-clearing sale.
Depop → Vinted
Move from Depop to Vinted to drop even Depop's small processing fee to zero — same Gen Z fashion lane, no seller fees at all.
Vinted → Poshmark
Move from Vinted to Poshmark when designer and contemporary pieces need a bigger, more engaged US buyer pool — accepting the 20% for reach and velocity.
Vinted → Depop
Move from Vinted to Depop for streetwear, Y2K, and hyped pieces — where Depop's brand gravity converts better despite a small processing fee.
General resale
Vinted → Mercari
Move from Vinted to Mercari when your inventory is broader than fashion — trading Vinted's zero fees for a wider audience.
Etsy → Mercari
Leave Etsy for Mercari when your items aren't handmade or true vintage — simpler flat fees and no eligibility rules.
Depop → Mercari
Move from Depop to Mercari when your inventory is broader than Y2K and streetwear — wider audience, at the cost of higher fees.
What carries over — and what doesn't
This part is the same whichever direction you're moving. The second list is the one sellers consistently underestimate, and it's the reason "just cross-list everything" is bad advice for anyone with an established account.
Carries over
- Photos — though each platform crops to its own aspect ratio, so hero shots can lose their framing
- Titles and descriptions, subject to the destination's character limits
- Price, which you should re-check rather than copy: the fee structure underneath it changed
Does not carry over
- Sales history and seller ratings — you restart at zero on the destination, and early buyers can see that
- Reviews and feedback, which are the hardest thing to rebuild and the main argument for not fully abandoning an established account
- Followers, likes, and share history — significant on Poshmark and Depop, where distribution is social rather than search-driven
- Search ranking and listing age, so a moved listing competes as brand-new inventory
- Offers, bundles, and any in-flight buyer conversations
Cross-listing tools
Support lists are taken from each vendor's own marketplace page, not from review roundups. We don't earn anything from these links. Which of them covers your specific pair — and whether auto-delist works on your destination — is on the individual switch guides.
- Vendoo
Connects three marketplaces by default; covering all of them needs the All Marketplaces add-on at about $4.99/mo on top of your plan. Vinted is desktop-only — it's absent from the mobile app.
- Crosslist
Imports from and posts to all five, plus eBay, Grailed, Whatnot and Shopify. Flat subscription with no per-marketplace add-on.
- List Perfectly
Offers both direct marketplace-to-marketplace crossposting and an import-then-manage workflow, with unlimited listings on every tier.
Transfer details verified 2026-07-24 · Tool capabilities change often — confirm on the vendor's own marketplace page before subscribing.
