Moving from Poshmark to Vinted

Why Vinted pays you more than Poshmark, what the move costs you in everything that isn't fees, and how to actually get your listings across.

Trade Poshmark's flat 20% commission for Vinted's zero seller fees — keep the full price on every closet-clearing sale.

What the switch does to your payout

Across common sale prices, moving to Vinted keeps more in your pocket on every sale — you stop paying Poshmark's fees.

Net payout before and after the switch

Sale price Poshmark net Vinted net Difference
$15.00 $12.00 · −20.0% $15.00 · no fee + $3.00
$25.00 $20.00 · −20.0% $25.00 · no fee + $5.00
$50.00 $40.00 · −20.0% $50.00 · no fee + $10.00
$100.00 $80.00 · −20.0% $100.00 · no fee + $20.00
$250.00 $200.00 · −20.0% $250.00 · no fee + $50.00
$500.00 $400.00 · −20.0% $500.00 · no fee + $100.00

Net payout = sale price + shipping charged − platform fees, calculated with default options and no shipping charged to the buyer. Difference is what Vinted nets you versus Poshmark on the same sale.

Why sellers make this move

Poshmark takes 20% of every sale over $15. Sellers move to Vinted to keep 100% of the price, especially on lower-value items where 20% stings most. Vinted's 2026 US expansion has grown the buyer pool enough to make the switch viable for everyday fashion.

What changes when you switch

  • Commission goes from 20% to zero. On a $50 item that's $10 back in your pocket per sale.
  • You lose Poshmark's social selling mechanics — no shares, parties, or closet following to drive views.
  • Buyers pay a separate Buyer Protection fee on Vinted, which doesn't reduce your payout but raises their total.
  • Vinted's US audience is newer and still scaling, so discovery works differently than Poshmark's activity feed.

How to move your listings

No import between them. Relist manually or via a cross-lister (Vendoo, List Perfectly, Crosslist). If you run both, delist promptly wherever an item sells.

Is there an official import from Poshmark to Vinted?

Only through Vinted's Pro API, which needs a Pro account, manual allowlist approval from Vinted, and starts capped at 500 active item slots. It is not open to personal sellers.

Getting your listings out of Poshmark: there's no export route — Poshmark gives personal sellers no way to download their listings in bulk, so a cross-listing tool reading your account is the only practical route short of copying by hand.

Cross-listing tools that cover this pair

Vendoo , Crosslist and List Perfectly support both Poshmark and Vinted for import and posting. Pricing and coverage for each.

The catch nobody advertises: none of these tools can auto-delist on Vinted. Sale detection works on eBay, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari and Whatnot — so if you keep an item live on both platforms and it sells on Vinted, the duplicate elsewhere stays up until you pull it yourself. Plan on checking daily, or don't run the two in parallel.

What Vinted will make you fill in that Poshmark never asked for

Poshmark never made you record this, so there is nothing to carry across — you supply it item by item:

Colour

Already collected by Poshmark: Category, Brand, Size, Condition, Photos.

Vinted is the strictest destination in this set. Its listing form is heavily structured, so free-form descriptions carried over from a looser platform arrive with the fields Vinted actually filters on left empty — and unfilled brand and size fields are why imported listings quietly fail to appear in buyer searches.

What you're giving up on Poshmark

Poshmark's flat-rate shipping means you never carried weight data, so moving to a platform that prices labels per item leaves a gap you'll fill by hand. Your follower count and share history are the real assets here, and neither transfers.

What carries over and what doesn't is the same for every switch.

Before you switch everything

Poshmark's engaged US fashion buyers — especially for designer and contemporary brands — can still move inventory faster and at higher prices. A common split: Poshmark for designer/contemporary, Vinted for everyday closet-clearing where keeping 100% beats speed.

Frequently asked

How much more do I keep on Vinted vs Poshmark?

Poshmark takes 20% on sales over $15; Vinted takes nothing from the seller. On a $50 item you keep the full $50 on Vinted versus about $40 on Poshmark — a $10 difference per sale.

Is Vinted's audience big enough to replace Poshmark?

Growing, but not there yet for every category. Poshmark's US fashion pool — especially for designer and contemporary brands — is larger and more engaged. Vinted is strongest for everyday, lower-value closet clearing where keeping 100% outweighs slower sales.

Why is Vinted free for sellers?

Vinted moved its monetization to the buyer side — buyers pay a 'Buyer Protection' fee at checkout (typically 3-8% of the item price plus a small fixed amount). Sellers receive 100% of their asking price. This zero-fee model is Vinted's biggest differentiator versus other resale marketplaces, especially in markets where they're newer like the US.
